6:00pm Shavuot & confirmation service
7:30pm Dairy Celebration
8:15pm Tikkun Leil Shavuot/Shavout evening study lead by Rabbi Silver and members.
Shavuot is one of the Shalosh Regalim, the three pilgrimage holidays mentioned in the Torah. It
commemorates the day that God gave the Torah to the entire community of Israel at Mount Sinai,
so it is also sometimes called Zman Matan Torah, the Time of the Giving of Torah.
We will celebrate Confirmation, which marks the last year of formal education for many of
our older students. The Confirmands will lead this one-of-a-kind service and share their own
teachings, thoughts and creativity with the community.
The evening will continue at 7:30pm with traditional dairy treats and a much anticipated study
session at 8:15pm led by Rabbi Silver along with members of the Temple Menorah community.
